  16. DANCING BEAR ENTERPRISES ANNOUNCES MAILBACK VERSION 1.0 SPECIAL
  17. INTRODUCTORY PRICING OF $49, $200 OFF LIST.

  19. KIHEI, HAWAII - Dancing Bear Enterprises today announced the
  20. immediate availability of MAILBACK Version 1.0,  with a special
  21. introductory price of just $49 through September 30, 1995. This is
  22. a savings of $200 off list price.

  24. Version 1.0 includes support for NEXTSTEP Motorola, Intel and
  25. PA/RISC. SPARC will be supported by October 1st.
  26.  
  27. MAILBACK an intelligent mail agent for NEXTSTEP systems. It automates
  28. many time-consuming and labor-intensive activities that delay
  29. communications and tie-up staff responding to routine information
  30. requests, redirecting incoming messages and maintaining e-mail
  31. address lists.  MAILBACK provides more efficient e-mail communications
  32. with less labor.

  34. MAILBACK does not replace the current NeXT Mail system, it extends
  35. the system and adds powerful new functions that automate and manage
  36. e-mail communications. MAILBACK interacts directly with the underlying
  37. UNIX sendmail, providing document distribution, message routing
  38. and mail list management.

  40. Unlike World Wide Web and other current information distribution
  41. tools that are limited to users with "high-end" Internet capabilities
  42. and require skilled technicians to prepare on-line documents,
  43. MAILBACK does not require special document preparation and is
  44. accessible from any system with email capabilities, even basic
  45. ASCII mail: Internet connectivity is not required.

  47. Standard applications are used to create and maintain documents
  48. that are linked together in bundles, called iBundles. iBundles
  49. enable automatic, unattended distribution of information. Any e-mail
  50. user can access these information bundles by simply sending an
  51. e-mail message to MAILBACK with the iBundle name on the subject
  52. line. MAILBACK also accommodates the most sophisticated users,
  53. supporting the distribution of: text, image, and voice documents,
  54. either as text or as enclosures. Any document that can be e-mailed
  55. can be placed on-line in an iBundle.

  57. MAILBACK also provides a Smart Router that can automatically direct
  58. incoming e-mail messages based on address and subject. The Smart
  59. Router examines incoming mail messages to identify the proper
  60. destination and initiates actions based on the address and subject.
  61. Smart Router can be configured to forward messages to any e-mail
  62. address, automatically create a log number and send a received
  63. receipt back to the requester. It can also send an iBundle to the
  64. requester.

  66. In addition, MAILBACK simplifies the creation and management of
  67. e-mail address lists. A text file address list can be dropped into
  68. MAILBACK and it will be automatically segmented to comply with
  69. sendmail addressing limitations. Lists can be chained, un-chained,
  70. modified, imported and exported using simple point and click actions.
